Why have a family photoshoot?

1 - Get yourself in the photographs.

A relaxed family photoshoot or at home newborn photo session is so important because it gives you space and time to create a treasured memory and to make sure you're part of it. All too often people take photographs but are never in them. Having something your children can look back on of you is so special.

2 - Create memories to keep hold of.

The heart of what I do is documenting your story to give you beautiful and real memories. Photographs are important, they remind you of good times, your old self, and of your growth. And there’s nothing that can take you straight back to a moment in time, like a photograph can. Family photoshoots and natural newborn sessions in particular, because your wee ones change and grow so fast.

3 - Have fun being exactly who you are.

For family and newborn photo sessions I get to know the real you and capture you as you really are. No fake posing, all natural, lots of fun and relaxed photographs. I capture documentary style photographs, they unfold in to a story in a linear way and show real moments. Yes there will be bloopers and yes, they'll likely become your favourite. I can come to your home and capture you just as you are or we can go on a wander to your favourite spots. I like to encourage people to do what they would normally so if that's cooking dinner, walking the dog, eating some cake, or anything else, let me just unobtrusively capture that.

Pricing

I offer family photo sessions all over Scotland. Just get in touch to discuss whatever you need and request my pricing brochure which contains my most popular packages and my new offering of Adventure Sessions in Glencoe! We can shoot at your home or at your favourite park or anywhere else that has a special connection for you. My basic package provides a good handful of photographs so you can decorate a wall in your house and it covers family and newborn photoshoot in Edinburgh. I'm also happy to create bespoke packages, to travel further afield or to deliver more images to meet your needs.
